Product Description

Instaplast The innovative solution for filling wall chases (Jiri) in electrical and plumbing work, is designed to meet the need for immediate plastering, especially in situations where traditional plastering is not feasible.

Instaplast eliminates the need for water curing and provides superior bonding strength compared to conventional plaster. Most importantly, the surface is ready for use in 2–3 hours after application, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Surface Preparation

Dry and clean

Ensure the surface is free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose particles, or any substance that may affect bonding. Clean the surface using a wire brush or high-pressure water jet. Ensure the surface is free from dampness, active leakage, algae, or fungal growth.

Roughness

Ensure the surface is sound and structurally stable. Pre-wet the surface and apply a cement–water slurry prior to application. Repair weak or damaged areas using Instaplast RMP.

Evenness

Level the surface for uniform application.

Referred Relevant Standards
  • EN 998 – Specification for Mortar for Masonry

Apply in layers:

  • Mix 0.13–0.15 litres of water per kg of Instaplast RMP. Apply at a thickness of 10–12 mm.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Gradually add the powder to water to minimize lump formation and achieve a smooth, homogeneous consistency.
  • Use a drill mixer or paddle mixer to ensure uniform mixing.
  • Mix only the quantity that can be applied within 30–40 minutes to maintain workability and plasticity.

Application:

  • Apply the mix with sufficient force for proper adhesion
  • Level the surface for a smooth finish

Curing:

  • No Curing is required after the application.
  • Use safety gloves, goggles, and dust masks during handling.
  • Avoid inhalation of the mix and contact with eyes.
  • Keep the work area dust-free and wash hands thoroughly after use.
  • In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention if necessary.
  • Follow all application instructions for surface preparation and mixing.
  • Mix in batches that can be used within 45-60 minutes.
  • Ensure the wall surface is neither too dry nor too moist before application.
  • Protect freshly plastered surfaces for at least 8 hours to prevent cracking.
  • Do not reuse mixed plaster or add water to a set mixture.
  • Avoid mixing materials from different batches.

Shelf Life

  • 6 months from the date of sealed packaging

Storage Recommendations:

  • Store in a cool, dry, and moisture-free area
  • Keep bags sealed to prevent exposure to air
  • Avoid using sharp objects or dragging bags during unloading to prevent punctures.
  • CemecoPlast Instaplast Ready-Mix Plaster is supplied in 25 kg (5 bags of 5 kg each) HDPE laminated waterproof bags.

Guidelines For Ideal Results
